Three private conservancies, one circuit. The Laikipia Plateau holds more black rhino than anywhere else in Kenya. A Pilatus connects the camps — no road transfers.
Laikipia sits north of Mount Kenya at roughly 1,800 metres. The plateau is cooler, less crowded, and home to a rhino population that conservation efforts have rebuilt from near-zero over the past twenty years. Three conservancies — Lewa, Borana, and Ol Malo — each have distinct landscapes and different concentrations of wildlife. Flying between them on a Pilatus takes eight to twelve minutes. The alternative is a four-hour road.
This is not a bucket-list safari. It is for people who want to understand how conservation finance, community ownership, and wildlife management actually work at scale — and to do so while staying in some of the finest bush camps on the continent.
